About us Before the carving out of the hill state of Meghalaya from Assam, Shillong, its present day capital, was an idyllic weekend jaunt for the British planter community of Assam. Cool, moist and with a temperature climate throughout the year, hilly Shillong probably reminded those old British folk of the Highlands of Scotland. The house belongs to both the sisters Mrs. Usha Barooah and Mrs. Rosa Kamte and was named after his elder daughter , Rosa. A most endearing piece of neo-colonial architecture , Rosaville’s interiors-immaculately appointed with period furniture and numerous bric-a-brac exude the charm and warmth of a very living past. The accomodation includes 1 Suite, 4 Deluxe Rooms and 2 Standard Rooms. |
